May Favourites

May is already soon over and summer is coming!
So I thought it was time for me to share some of the things I have been loving during May so here is my May favourites!

Benefit Porefessional
The first thing I have loved this month is the Benefit Porefessional face primer. I recently got two mini Porefessionals when buying a other Benefit product. So it is completely random I have it, but I love it! Not only does it helps keeping pores away is also leaves your skin so incredible soft! Honestly I am really surprised how soft my skin feels after I have put it on! I mostly use it around my nose. After using it for about two weeks now, I am determined to get the big one finished the small mini ones I got. I really understand why a lot of people have been raging about this product can only recommend it!

Topshop Jeans
You can see the jeans on Topshop's website here
Lately the weather has been so lovely so I got a chance to wear a bit more summer clothes. I recently bought these jeans from Topshop and I just love them! I really like the colours and the print. As I normally just wear black or grey jeans it’s nice with a change and a bit of colour! I just think these jeans are very cute and summer-ish!

Redken All Soft Conditioner
Long time ago I used the Redken soft conditioner, but then stopped. Recently I started using it again and I must say, I really forgot how much I love it! It makes my hair so soft and less frizzy! It also makes my hair a bit thinner (if it makes sense). My hair is very thick and I have natural curls, so this conditioner helps to keep my curls more wavy and less crazy.

NARS Lipstick: Afghan Red
Again, since the weather has been so much better lately I have also wanted to start wearing more colour – including on my lips! The lipstick I have been loving – and wearing a lot – lately a NARS one in the colour “Afghan Red”. It is in a gorgeous dark pink colour and I just love it. Also the thing I really love about NARS lipsticks is that they are so moisturizing for my lips! It literally feels like wearing lip balm!
Here's what the lipstick looks on:

Song: All of The Stars

The last thing I have been crazy about this month has been a new song by Ed Sheeran. It’s called “All of The Stars” and is from the soundtrack to the film “The Fault in Our Stars”. I really love Ed Sheeran, every song he makes is incredible! And this one is no exeption! Have listened to it all the time after my friend showed it to me. I think I’m obsessed. Here’s the song, so if you haven’t listen to it yet, you can now!

Those were the things I have been loving throughout May! What have been the things you have enjoyed throughout May? J

How to: Survive revision

It's almost summer which also means it’s time for exams. I am graduating High School/ College this summer, so that means a lot of exams for me. If you are that kind of person like me that get easily stressed revision time can be very very unpleasant. Therefore I thought I would make a post about how you can make revision less stressful.

Be organized
To be organized is the most important thing for me when revising. Make a list where you can keep track of all the reading you need to do. In that way you don’t have to keep everything inside your head – for me it’s less stressful. A thing I also like to do is to make a plan over all the days I have to revise and then write down what I will do on the different days.

Snacks & drinks
When preparing for an exam food is my best friend. Whether you would like it healthy or unhealthy make yourself some delicious snacks. When you’re studying all day it’s very important for your brain that you get something to eat. I l love having a plate with small snacks I can just easily eat. Not only eating is important, it is of course also very important that you have something to drink. For me I love refreshing drinks like juice or smoothies! I often fill a big glass with smoothie and then put in a straw and I’m ready to revise!

Sometimes it’s really hard to concentrate if there’s too quiet. Music is a lifesaver when studying! Put on some of your favourite songs and everything will seem a little bit easier! For me putting music also sometimes leads to a dance break in the middle of revision, so that’s always nice!

Go for a walk
I know that when you are revising you are often very busy, but you need to take a break. It doesn’t have to be a three-hours break, just maybe 20 minutes to give your brain a break. One thing I really enjoy doing when revising is to go for a walk. It’s really nice to just take a quick walk to get some fresh air to your brain. Also when you’re sitting down all day it’s very good for your body to go up and move.

I often tend to revise to very late in the evening and end up going to bed way too late! It’s very important to get enough sleep so your brain also relaxes. In that way you will also be more fresh and ready for the next day of revision.

That was just some of the things I think is important to remember when you are revising.  My exams are coming up very soon, so I would love to hear what some of your tricks or tips for revision are! :)

Morning Routine + Daily Makeup

I love reading about what skincare routines or morning routines other people have. So I thought I would try to write a post about it myself and share my morning routine + daily makeup!

I am very lazy in the morning, but I do like to spend some time to take care of my face  - even though it means I have to do it half asleep.
My morning skincare doesn’t includes a lot of steps, but thought I would share it anyway and also show what makeup I wear on a normal day.

I start of by splashing my face with cold water. For some odd reason when I wash my face it has to be washed in really cold water. After a few quick splashes on my face I use my cleansing milk. I use the Clarins – cleansing milk with gentian. I find it pretty good and it's smells amazing.

Then I use the Nivea pure & natural cleansing toner -and I must say - this is the most refreshing product I’ve ever tried! It really smoothens my skin and it smells so refreshing! Also it’s without parabens, which I like since my skin can be a bit sensitive sometimes. Can highly recommend this toner!

Last step is moisturizer. I use the L’Oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine face cream. I don’t really agree with the “anti-shine” part as it leaves my face pretty shiny after I’ve used it. But it’s a really good cream and it helps my dry skin stay more moisturizing and less dry as before I started using this cream.
After the skincare is done, it’s on to the fun part – makeup! Usually on normal days I don’t spend a lot of time on makeup since I somehow always end up being very late in the mornings and have to do everything quite quick. Also when I'm just going to school I don't really bother with putting on loads of products.

I start of by using concealer under my eyes or any other place that need concealer. The concealer I use is a NARS one in the colour Caramel. Then I put on my MAC pressed powder in the number NC55 – to do that I use my Real Techniques buffing brush. For eye shadow i use the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I love all the colours, but if I had to choose my favourites are “Burnout”, “Limit” and “Nooner” which also are the colours i normally use. I either use the little eye shadow brush that comes with the palette or the Real Techniques essential crease brush to put it on. I finish of my eyes with putting on my Maybelline The Falsies mascara. Then it's blush time and i use my NARS blush in the colour Dolce Vita which is a dark pink shade, to put it on I use a angled blush brush from Sephora. Then I finish it all of by putting on lipstick. Lately I have been wearing a MAC lipstick in the colour Verve. I love to wear this colour in a normal day since it’s very casual with its brown/red-ish colour.

What are some of the product you just love to wear everyday? :)
