Travel essentials: Car trip

I am going to visiting my grandmother soon, and to get to her house I have to be in the car for almost five hours! I have some special things I like to have with me when I am sitting in the passenger seat trying to survive a long car trip, so I’ll give you travel essentials: car trip edition.
Picture from WeHeartIt, but edited by me.
This is the most important thing in my opinion. If you have a long (or short) car trip in front of you music is a lifesaver. The best way to waste time is just to plug your earphones in on be in your own little world while listening to your favourite music. Trust me time will fly by in the matter of no time, or you will end up falling asleep, which also is a way to make time pass easier!

Another great way to spend a car ride is to read a book. Unfortunately I get very easily carsick, so books are a no go for me. I wish I could read while being on car trips because it would make everything so much funnier! So if you are luckier and can drive and read without a problem, then remember loads of books.

Drinks & food
If you are on a long car journey - especially in the summer –  you will need something to drink as sitting in a car when it is really sunny outside is horrible. So always remember to keep hydrated  - a thing I am absolutely rubbish at since I always forget to drink enough water.  Food is just always nice on long car trips, whether it’s “real food or snacks you can never have too much of it.

Cleaning wipes
During the day at home when it’s hot I like to wash my face with cold water just for the refreshing feeling, so when you are tuck in a car a cleansing wipe is a must for me.

If you are in a car for a long time and let your thoughts be all around the place, maybe you will be hit buy some great ideas for your blog so always keep a notebook near! Again me getting carsick keeps me from doing this in the car, but if I am on a train I love to write ideas down or just doodling like a crazy.

What are your essentials for car trips? Let me know it the comments

Summer Reading List

Every since I learned how to read it has always been one of my biggest hobbies. If you give me a book I will be absolutely thrilled, as I know nothing better than sitting comfortable in my bed cuddled up with blankets and a good book. So since I have seen some people blog about their “summer reading list” I thought I would do the same, but instead of a full list, just write about the newest books I have bought and want to read.

An Abundance Of Katherines  by John Green
Ever since reading Looking For Alaska I have absolutely loved John Green. I then read The Fault in our Stars and Paper Towns and loved him even more. I have a goal to read all of his books, because he is such an amazing author. I then saw An Abundance of Katherines and knew I had to read it, with John Green as the author it could only be good, right? This is the only of the three books I have begun reading yet. I haven’t read more than a few chapters, but I can already tell it’s going to be good even though I am a bit afraid it’s going to end sad, since John Green has a habit of killing off his characters!

I heart London by Lindsey Kelk
I must admit I bought this book only because of the title. I love London a lot, so when I saw this book I thought it was quite fitting for me and that it would be fun to read. I then later found of that it’s actually part of a series, so I am considering buying the other books in the series. If you have read some of the other books from the “I heart…” series – or this one – please let me know if I should get the other books too!

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This one is a bit different from the other two books, but I thought I would like it anyway. It is a about a young girl under second world war and how she experiences living with a foster family, how her new family hides a jew from the Nazis and how she learn to read and get fascinated by the world of books. The reason I got this book was because t has recently been made to a movie, wich I saw and really liked. And normally when there is a book there is being made to a movie I prefer the book over the movie, so thought I would really love to read the book too.

What are your must read books for this summer? If you are one of those who has made a blog post about your reading list, please leave a comment with your post link cause I love to get inspiration for new books to read – also I don’t think these three books are going to last all summer!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

I have been looking for a new foundation in a while now and after hearing only positive things about the MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation I decided to give it a go and buy it.

I got it in the shade/colour NC45 and I think it suits my skin colour quite good.
The foundation it self I am very happy with. It is easy to apply and you don’t need much to give a full coverage, which I really like cause I often feel like you can easily put on too much foundation and then it feels like you are wearing a mask, which isn’t too comfortable.

I am very happy with my purchase and for anyone looking for a new foundation I can only recommend this one! Another good thing about it is that it contains SPF 15 and now that the sun finally has decided to show itself I think it is much needed!

Have you tried the MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation and what are your thoughts? J

June Favourites

Another month has passed by, which means it’s time for my monthly favourites! June has been a really busy moth for me since I had tons of exams and also graduated High School, but I do have a few things I have loved during June that I want to share with you guys!

V05 Shampoo & Conditioner
The first thing(s) I have really loved last month is the V05 Silk Smooth Elixir shampoo & conditioner. As I was running low on the shapoo I normally use, I just used this because I needed something to put in my hair, but never really expected it to be s good! I have naturally curly/wavy hair and sometimes my curls can get a bit out of control, but this shampoo& conditioner just helps keeping my curls in control and also it makes my hair so soft! As many shampoos it says on the bottle that it is good for frizzy hair, but this is the first shampoo I have tried where it actually makes your hair less frizzy! The only downside about it is that I personally think it smells a bit weird, but maybe that’s just me. Anyway I would really recommend this product for anyone looking for a new shampoo or conditioner.

Essie “Serial Shopper”
My next favourite is my current favourite nail polish, that is Essie’s Serial Shopper. I also wrote about this polish in my post about Summer Nail Polishes. The orange/coral colour just really makes me happy and it’s so summery!

Maybelline Baby Lips

Everybody have been talking about the Baby Lips in such a long time, but it was first recently I went at bought some. I have been loving the Hydrate one. I think that it is such a good lip balm and I really like that it leaves your lips shiny, cause it hate when you use “invisible” lip balm and it just leaves your lips looking matte and boring.

Crop Tops

The weather lately has been amazing, so I have started wearing more summer tops and I have absolutely loved these crop tops from Topshop. The material is so soft, and I really like the pattern. As said before the crops are from Topshop and can be found here (black) and here (white).

Ed Sherran  “X”
The last thing I have been loving so much during June has been the new Ed Sheeran album. I got his album “X” from iTunes the day it was released and have been listening almost non-stop to it ever since. I just love Ed Sheeran and his voice is amazing! So far my favourite song on the album is Photograph.

So these were my June Favourites. Let me now in the comments what you have been loving during June :)
